What I
bring to the table.

I work best at the edge where ideas are still rough and the path forward is unclear. I build things quickly, test with real users and iterate until they work.

01

Rapid Prototyping

From concept to working prototype — fast.

I translate ambiguous ideas into tangible, testable artifacts within days. Whether software, hardware, or a hybrid, I use the fastest path to a prototype that can be put in front of users.

Deliverables

  • Interactive software prototypes
  • Physical / 3D-printed hardware
  • VR & immersive experience POCs
  • Arduino / embedded demos
Lume smart bedside prototype

In practice

Lume

A bedside idea, made tangible one prototype at a time.

The challenge
Finding your glasses in the dark should be effortless. Before investing in custom hardware, I needed to explore the shape, interaction and whether people wanted the product.
What I did
I built cardboard models with spare electronics, gathered feedback on renders and made 3D-printed versions for daily use. I then designed a custom circuit board in EasyEDA.
The result
A physical prototype I could use on my own bedside table, with a custom PCB ordered for the next iteration. Each step answered a different question before I committed to the next.

Product Design & UX

Systems that are intuitive before they are impressive.

Grounded in Human-Technology Interaction and strategic design (TU Delft MSc), I map user needs to clear flows, validated wireframes and polished visual designs.

Deliverables

  • UX flows & wireframes
  • UI design & design systems
  • Usability testing & validation
  • Design-to-development handoff
Melles MCMF digital music experience

In practice

Melles MCMF

One connected experience, from discovering a concert to checking in.

The challenge
Melles needed a way for visitors to explore concerts, hear the music and reserve a place, while staff needed to manage the programme and validate tickets.
What I did
I developed the navigation and core interactions in a working iOS prototype, tested them directly with the client and users, and iterated on specific feedback. I connected the visitor journey to staff scanning and a management dashboard.
The result
A working suite of iOS and Android apps, an iOS staff scanner, a dashboard and a backend. The visitor experience and the operational tools were developed together.

iOS Development

End-to-end SwiftUI apps, from idea to App Store.

I build native iOS applications handling the full stack — UI, backend logic, API integrations and release. In HappyDay, this includes local storage, sync, Apple platform extensions and ongoing releases.

Deliverables

  • SwiftUI app development
  • Backend & API integration
  • App Store submission & release
  • Ongoing feature development
HappyDay iOS planning app

In practice

HappyDay

A released product that extends beyond the main app.

The challenge
HappyDay helps people choose what to do with the time they have. That experience needs to stay useful across the app, calendar, widgets and moments when the phone is locked.
What I did
I designed and built the native SwiftUI app, with Core Data, Supabase sync, EventKit and StoreKit 2. I extended it with widgets, Live Activities, a Watch app and Screen Time features.
The result
HappyDay is available in the App Store. The codebase includes unit tests and builds through Xcode Cloud, supporting ongoing releases and product iterations.

AI & LLM Integration

AI features built around a useful task.

I build AI features into product workflows, from on-device Apple Intelligence in HappyDay to retrieval and LLM experiments. I focus on the input, the output and what the user can do with it.

Deliverables

  • LLM-powered product features
  • Prompt engineering & evaluation
  • API & automation pipelines
  • AI proof-of-concepts
HappyDay Now screen with activity suggestions and chat

In practice

HappyDay

Apple Intelligence inside an everyday task workflow.

The challenge
Adding tasks can become work in itself: a spoken list or a photo may contain several things to do. HappyDay needs to turn that input into something useful in the app.
What I did
I integrated on-device Apple Intelligence for chat in the Now screen, splitting spoken lists into individual tasks and recognising tasks in photos. These features sit alongside the app’s calendar and activity workflows.
The result
AI features within a released native product, covering conversation and task capture. The example connects model capabilities to specific interactions a user can actually use.

Technical Consulting

Bridge the gap between engineering and design.

Working at the intersection of hardware, software and human factors (ASML, SyncVR), I help teams translate complex technical constraints into implementable, user-ready solutions.

Deliverables

  • Technology feasibility assessment
  • Cross-disciplinary team facilitation
  • Implementation strategy
  • Design–engineering alignment
KLM Flying V cabin concept

In practice

KLM Flying V

From passenger research to a cabin you could walk into.

The challenge
The Flying V’s unusual shape required a different approach to cabin layout. Passenger needs for sleep, privacy and travelling together had to translate into a workable spatial concept.
What I did
I led the team and contributed 3D modelling, developing activity-based seating and sleeping concepts. We built and tested configurations at full scale, then constructed a complete cabin segment.
The result
A full-scale mockup developed in 12 weeks and exhibited at Dutch Design Week and KLM’s centenary exhibition. The project became a Crystal Cabin Awards 2020 finalist.
